I'm Emily Cornett. I'm a teacher and homeschool mom. As a mom and a teacher I've done a little bit of everything. I have taught in public school, private preschool, and online. I have been a working mom, a stay at home mom, a part time working mom, and now a work from home mom. I live in Cypress, TX with my husband, two kids, two dogs, two bearded dragons. I started homeschooling my kids, Ethan (12) and Ellie (10) because of COVID, but we decided to continue homeschooling because it works really well for us. It allows us to take a much more relaxed approach to life. We have more time to spend together and time to spend doing what we love. Our family also loves to travel the country in our travel trailer. My husband is a high school teacher, so we take local trips during the school year, and longer cross country trips in the summer when we all have extra time off.

I started teaching on Outschool in the fall of 2020. It has been such a dream job! I have met the most wonderful students and parents over the past several years! I graduated from University of Houston in 2007. I've taught kindergarten, second, and third grade in public school. I took some time off to stay home with my children, and then I taught pre-k at their preschool. Designing classes, planning fun lessons, and, of course, building relationships with my students are my favorite parts of teaching. I've tried different classes on Outschool over the years. Lately, I've been focused on creating my science and social studies courses. These have been my absolute favorite! My goal as an online teacher is to create classes that are fun and engaging for the students, and low maintence for the parents.

In addition to teaching, I also have shops on Teachers Pay Teachers and Etsy. I started making printables for my online students awhile back and I realized how much I enjoyed it. As a teacher and homeschool mom I also know how important it is to find easy to use, fun, educational (and pretty) curriculum and activites. Thus, Wander+Grow was born! My goal is to make your life a little easier with ready to print worksheets, games, and activities for your little ones.
